This 14 days tour takes us through some of Botswana and Zimbabwe’s magnificent national parks, starting at the spectacular Victoria Falls and ending in Kasane. The journey leads us through Bulawayo the second largest city in Zimbabwe, the amazing Matopos National Park and Maun the gateway to the Okavango Delta in Botswana.

  • Day 1: Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
    On arrival at Victoria Falls airport, you will be met by a Supertime representative and transferred to your lodge. The rest of the afternoon may be spent at leisure, relaxing by the swimming pool. This evening you will meet your tour guide and the rest of your group for your pre-departure meeting.

    Day 2: Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
    After breakfast you will visit the waterfall on a guided tour. The rest of the day is open for optional activities and your guide will be there to assist you.

    Day 3: Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe
    This morning you depart from Victoria Falls and make your way to Hwange National Park where you will spend the next two nights. Enroute you will visit the Painted Dog Conservation Centre to witness the incredible efforts employed to protect these predators. This evening is at leisure and you can relax by the lodge and hope to see animals coming down by the lodge waterhole for a drink or take an optional evening/sunset orientation game drive.

    Day 4: Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe
    Enjoy one of Africa’s finest havens for wildlife and home to vast herds of elephant and buffalo on a full day game viewing in the park with picnic lunch and refreshments.
    Overnight: Sable Sands Lodge or similar on Dinner, Bed and Breakfast.

    Day 5: Matopos National Park, Zimbabwe
    After breakfast, you continue your safari with a drive to Matopos National Park, enroute you pass through Painted Dog Conservation Centre and Bulawayo City affectionately known as the ‘The City of Kings’ dating back to the era of Lobengula the King of the Ndebele tribe.

    Day 6: Matopos National Park, Zimbabwe
    This morning you will participate on Rhino Tracking safari in the Matops National Park and then return to the lodge for a brunch. By the lodge environs enjoy the scenic views of this granite boulder topography, and in the evening visit Cecil John Rhodes grave at the famous ‘World View” plus one of the bushman caves.

    Day 7: Magkadigkadi Salt Pans, Botswana
    Today you will need to get up early, being one of your considerable long drives of the safari. Leaving Matopos National Park behind you will cross into Botswana via Plumtree border to Nata Lodge situated next to the landmark of the Great Magkadigkadi Salt Pans. In the evening you will head off to Nata Bird Sanctuary to enjoy the magnificent view of the Sowa Pan forming part of the famous salt pans.

    Day 8: Maun, Botswana
    This morning we head off to Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta. The name Maun is derived from the San word “Maung”, which means “the place of short reeds”. Why not take an optional scenic flight over the Okavango Delta. Conservationists have taken a great interest in the preservation of the Botswana Delta, as it is such an exceptional area of Africa.

    Day 9: Khwai & Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana
    After breakfast we will be picked up by our local Botswana guides and take a short drive to the mokoro station. From here, we will float in these traditional dug-out canoes through the thick vegetation of the Okavango Delta discovering a variety of birds and wildlife. Unlike other deltas, it flows into the Kalahari Desert without ever reaching the coast. After this spectacular excursion, we make our way to our camp, which is situated in the greater Khwai Wildlife Management area. After settling into our camp, we will enjoy dinner and some bush chats around a campfire.

    Day 10 -11: Khwai & Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana
    You will spend these 2 consecutive days doing game viewing in this most beautiful and varied reserve with an unprecedented concentration of wildlife. Game drives will be subdivided into one full day and the second day on morning and evening drives punctuated with siesta at the camp.

    Day 12: Khwai to Chobe National Park, Botswana
    We have to get up early, as this will be the longest day of our safari with a full day ahead of us. We leave the camp in the Greater Moremi area and transit through the Chobe National Park from the southern to northern part, driving through Savuti area. Enroute there will be a good chance of game viewing. Our lodge is situated on the bank of the Chobe River a short distance from its confluence with the mighty Zambezi River at Kazungula.

    We may have the option of a charter flight from Khwai airstrip to Kasane airport. Upon arrival at the Kasane airport we will then be transferred to our lodge. The rest of the evening will be at leisure.

    Day 13: Chobe National Park, Botswana
    Today you will have an early morning game drive before returning to the lodge for a sumptuous breakfast. In the afternoon you round of your day with a sunset cruise on the Chobe River. Here you can watch elephants, hippos, crocodiles and a variety of birds, making for excellent up close photo opportunities.

    Day 14: Victoria Falls Airport
