Itinerary 

Day 1: Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe – Welcome to Zimbabwe!

Upon arrival at the Victoria Falls airport you will be met by Supertime representative and transferred to your lodge. Rest of the day at leisure. In the evening you will be called by your guide to an all important pre-departure meeting.

Day 2: Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Today after breakfast you will explore the mighty Victoria Falls waterfall on a guided walk and you round of your day by enjoying a romantic sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. There is no better way to end the day than to watch an African Sun slip down the horizon, while sipping drinks and enjoying light snacks. Birds, hippos and crocodiles are abounding in their natural habitat.

Day 3: Lake Kariba, Zimbabwe

After breakfast you depart Victoria Falls and heard to your lodge on the banks of Lake Kariba. Lake Kariba, when constructed was the largest dam wall and artificial lake in the world, but although record has since been surpassed by others dams, it is still the world’s largest man-made reservoir by volume, making the Zambezi River home to two world greats – the other being the largest waterfall in the world, the Victoria Falls. Kariba’s reservoir volume is 185 billion m3, the surface area covers about 5500km2, and it extends for more than 280km, with a maximum width of 40kms. It is located just about halfway between the source and mouth of the Zambezi River and is 200kms downstream of the Victoria Falls. The lake lies on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, as does much of the Zambezi River.

Day 4 Lake Kariba, Zimbabwe

Leisurely morning breakfast, partake in variety of optional activities that include a visit to the Tonga Museum, Crocodile Sanctuary, Natural Hot Springs and local school or village and guided fishing tour. Enjoy sunset boat cruise on lake with a game viewing opportunities.

Overnight: Masumu River Lode or Similar on Dinner, Bed and Breakfast

Day 5: Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe

Living Kariba Lake behind, you will drive to your lodge situated on the southern part of Hwange National Park. Hwange National Park is well known for the presidential herd of elephants. The lodge is overlooking a perennial waterhole that present an excellent opportunity to see these African giants plus other species of animals coming down for a drink especially at sundown. Depending on time of arrival you might take an orientation sunset game drive in the private lodge concession or just relax by lodge.

Overnight: Hwange Safari Lodge or similar on Lunch, Dinner, Bed and Breakfast

Day 6: Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe

After breakfast, you enjoy a full day game drive into Hwange National Park. Lunch will be served at a picnic site in the park. Soft drinks and bottled water will be provided during the game drive.

Day 7: Matopos National Park, Zimbabwe

This morning you will be transferred from Hwange National Park to Camp Amalinda near Matopos National Park known for its giant rock boulders. Enroute you pass through Bulawayo City affectionately known as the City of Kings tracing back to ruling days (18th and 19th century) of King Mzilikazi and his son Lobengula the kings of the Ndebele tribe.

Overnight: Camp Amalinda or similar on full board.

Day 8: Matopos National Park, Zimbabwe

This morning you will participate on Rhino Tracking safari in the Matops National Park and then return to the lodge for a brunch. By the lodge environs enjoy the scenic views of this granite boulder topography, and in the evening visit Cecil John Rhodes grave at the famous ‘World View” plus one of the bushman caves.

Day 9: Great Zimbabwe Ruins, Zimbabwe

Today your safari continues with a considerable drive to The Lodge at the Ancient City in Masvingo. This afternoon you will enjoy a guided tour of the Great Zimbabwe Ruins. Great Zimbabwe is the name of the stone ruins of an ancient city near modern day Masvingo, Zimbabwe. People lived in Great Zimbabwe beginning around 1100 C.E. but abandoned it in the 15th century. The city was the capital of the Kingdom of Zimbabwe, which was a Shona (Bantu) trading empire. Zimbabwe means “stone houses” in Shona.

Day 10: Antelope Park, Zimbabwe

Crossing from the south to the north you will drive to Antelope Park in Gweru. With a variety of optional activities that include Bush Walk, Lion Enclosure Tour, Lion Feed, Elephant Encounter, Horse Riding and Pony Ride, this gives each traveller so much option of choice  As the cry of the fish eagle awakes the fiery dawn and the echoing roar of the lion calls out the evening stars, you know you have found the real Africa when you come to Zimbabwe’s Set in over 3000 acres of open savannah in central Zimbabwe, at Antelope Park you will find comfortable accommodation, delicious and nutritious home-cooked food, beautiful landscapes that will refresh your soul, thrilling encounters with African wildlife, and the warm welcome of the Zimbabwean people who will touch your heart.

Day 11 -12: Manapools National Park, Zimbabwe

Leaving Gweru town behind us you will embark on a considerable drive to Little Vundu Camp on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River in Manapools National Park. The camp offers a homely holiday destination with a host of fun activities, basic facilities and services to enhance your vacation. Game viewing activities include game drive, canoeing, and walking safari

Overnight: Little Vundu Camp or similar on full board

Day 13: Harare, Zimbabwe

This morning you will be collected and transferred to Harare for your final night in Zimbabwe. Enjoy High tea, guided walk through the vineyards, sundowner cruise on a pontoon and guided wine tasting.                     

Overnight: Bushman Rock or Similar on Bed and Breakfast

Day 14:  Harare, Zimbabwe
